Can’t get enough Metal Gear Solid? Then you might want to check out the new limited edition Metal Gear Solid 4 watch.
Only 500 of the watches will be made and each will be numbered 1 to 500 and come with a certificate of authenticity.
Look for it this October for £99.99, or about $197 US.

Along with Metal Gear Solid 4, Sony is also introducing a Metal Gear Solid branded Bluetooth headset you can use with the game or even pair with your cellphone…but you may not want to.
GadgetMadness got their hands on one and while they liked how easy it was to operate and agreed that it looked cooler than most other Bluetooth headsets, but among the negatives where:
- Awful voice quality when using it with a cellphone. When used with the PS3 the voice quality was a bit better but still worse than other Bluetooth headsets.
- Proprietary USB charger.
- Uncomfortable to wear for long periods.
Some of the comments posted to that review are wondering if GadgetMadness might have gotten a bad unit and that is entirely possible. If you’re thinking about picking one up you might want to check out a few more reviews first.

A ccording to several people Bit-tech spoke with at Taipei, hard drives are going to be affordable in 12 – 18 months.
Does that mean standard hard drives are doomed? Maybe not.
Western Digital is reportedly working on a new Raptor line of hard drives that will be 2.5-inch drives in a custom 3.5-inch housing. Oh, and the drive will spin at 20,000 RPM.
Wow! If they can pull it off and make it cool and quiet, I’d really like to see how it performs against SSDs out at the time of this drives release (assuming it’s real).

Bad news if you are in Europe and eager to get your hands on the Metal Gear Solid PS3 bundle that Sony announced a couple of days ago. Europe will be getting a new Playstation 3 bundle–two, in fact–but neither comes with Metal Gear Solid 4.
The first bundle, hitting retail on March 19th, is the “movie bundle” and will come with a 40GB PS3, and Blu-ray copies of Spiderman 3, 300 and Casino Royale.
The second bundle, hitting retail on March 29th, includes a 40GB PS3 and a copy of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue.
Each will be priced at €399.
Oh, and sorry–a little more bad news. Each come with one SIXAXIS controller, not the DualShock 3 which is already out in Japan.

Sony finally announced a release date for the highly anticipated Metal Gear Solid 4 for the Playstation 3 of June 12, 2008.
Also announced was a new Playstation 3 80GB which will include Metal Gear Solid 4 and a DualShock 3 controller for $499.
No release date was announced for the bundle but June 12th would be a good guess at this point.
UPDATE: The box design for the new Metal Gear Solid 4 PS3 bundle has been released so I’ve updated the pic in this post with it.
