The Gamestop website has posted a listing for the Limited Edition of the upcoming Xbox 360 title Gears of War 2.
For $69.99 the Limited Edition will include the game itself plus:

Look for both the limited edition and the regular version of the game to both be released on November 7th.
A couple of new release dates have been announced at E3 for some hot properties coming to Microsoft’s Xbox 360 this year.
Fable 2 will be released in October (no exact date was given) and Gears of War 2 will be released on November 7th (not the 9th as was previously thought).
On a new Gears of War image posted here they show someone, presumably Marcus Fenix (the protagonist from the first Gears of War game), holding several dog tags.
If you look at them closely you’ll see that one of them has numbers on it:
033 116 117 126 071
If you were to assume that those were octal values and look them up on an ASCII table (like this one), you’d see that they convert to:
ESC N O V 9
Looks like hidden in plain sight is the release date for Gears of War 2–November 9th.
No official confirmation from Epic on this yet, but its not likely that the numbers on the dog tag are random, so looks like a release date to me.
Good catch, DieNasty!
No official word from Epic on exactly when Gears of War 2 will be released, but according to Lester “Mighty Rasta” Speight, the voice behind the game’s character Cole Train and football player turned actor, says that it’s coming on November 16th.
Previously all we knew was that the game would be arriving this November so this is the first time we’ve heard an actual date mentioned.
If nothing else its a good guess since that date is entirely possible.
Cliffy B. and pals at Epic have been working hard on a sequel to their award winning Xbox 360 game Gears of War.
How far along are they?
Far enough to release a sweet video of some gameplay with a little intro from Cliffy B. himself.
Looks like it stilling coming this November–can’t wait!
