Commodore to release UMMD 8010/F netbook computer

The Commodore computer brand was revived in 2003 to sell inexpensive MP3 players, then was re-launced in 2007 as a maker of high-end gaming PC’s. At the IFA show in Berlin Commodore has announced another product–the UMMD 8010/F netbook computer.

Features of the UMMD 8010/F will include:

  • Via C7-M processor at 1.6GHz
  • Choice of Windows XP or Linux
  • 10-inch LCD
  • 1GB RAM
  • 80GB hard drive
  • 1.3 megapixel webcam
  • 802.11b/g Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth
  • Digital array microphone
  • Will be available in white, black, grey and pink

Look for it to be released later this month for £325, or about $585 US. A bit on the high side for what you get so you’d have to be a serious fan of Commodore to jump on one of these.
