iPhone coming to Russia, will cost $990

At least two Russian cellular carriers have signed on to sell the iPhone, the first time the device will officially be sold in the country.

When the iPhone does go on sale (probably around October) it is expected to sell for 24,000 roubles, or roughly $990 and believe it or not that price is cheaper than the current black market price.

It’s hoped that if the big three Russian carriers all sign up to sell the iPhone Apple will be able to sell 3.5 million devices within the next two years.
