Next PSP shows up in FCC database, includes Wi-Fi

Someone has done some more snooping in the FCC database and turned up a new, third-generation Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP), this time with Wi-Fi/p>

Dubbed the PSP-3001, the next PSP will include 802.11b Wi-Fi for connecting to either the Internet or a PS3, but the other rumored new features weren’t called out (such as built-in microphone or a new “Home” button to replace the current PlayStation logo button).

It’s possible that the PSP-3001 will be in production in time for this holiday season so if you’re considering purchasing a new PSP and don’t need it right away you might want to wait and see what other info comes out about this new version…
