Verizon Visual Voicemail goes live

Verizon today has launched their own visual voicemail system for their LG Voyager phone.

As you’d expect, the service works similarly to the visual voicemail system available from AT&T on the iPhone–instead of having to call in to check your voicemail systems as you would now, the new visual voicemail system allows you to visually navigate through your voicemail boxes and its your messages using an on-screen user interface.

The service will add $3 per month to your plan and on 40 messages can be stored for up to 40 days. A nice thing that it has over the iPhone’s visual voicemail system is the ability to have up to 10 unique caller ID-based greetings.
