More info about the Canon 5D Mark II?

According to an alleged insider, the Canon 5D Mark II is indeed coming and will be announced on September 8th, so before Photokina.

The same source says that the 5D Mark II will have an MSRP of $2,399.95 ($2,199.95 for the body only) and its features will include:

  • 16 megapixel full-frame sensor
  • 6fps in continuous shooting mode
  • Max ISO of 25,600 (enhanced range, I’m sure)
  • Full weather sealing
  • VGA-resolution display
  • Pop-up flash
  • Anti-dust feature

Some features it will NOT have will be:

  • No Live View
  • No pro AF from 1D (although all points are cross-type)
  • No video mode
  • No compatibility with EF-S lenses
  • No electronic crop mode for faster shot rate
  • No HDMI-out
  • No UDMA CF support

If nothing else these are good guesses at what the 5D Mark II will have, assuming it’s real (and I believe we will see it announced this year).
