Harrah’s Rio iBar getting Microsoft Surface
Microsoft’s Surface is making its first appearance outside of AT&T (and Microsoft, of course) as Microsoft and Harrah’s Operating Company announced today that the surface will be coming to the iBar at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
The iBar installation of the Surface will allows patrons at one Surface to video chat with those at another Surface using an application called “Flirt”, create their own drinks with “Mixologists”, and use “Hip-notic” to go online to watch videos.
When the drinking, flirting and video watching wears out patrons will also be able to play several games High Roller bowling, Dissed multiplayer pinball, and Last Call musical memory game.
Pete Thompson, general manager for Microsoft’s Surface, says “people continue to be excited about the endless possibilities of Surface technology and how it can transform everyday scenarios, including the social and entertainment space. With this latest deployment of Surface, we’re now bringing some of those possibilities to life and showcasing the breadth of opportunities Microsoft Surface provides to innovative businesses like Harrah’s.”
Look for the Surface’s to launch at the Rio iBar on June 11th.
