Skype gets caller ID
When SkypeOut users in the US call someone the recipient sees a random string of numbers in caller ID (something like “0000123456”)–not so helpful in determining who is calling.
SkypeOut users in Europe have long been able to show their SkypeIn number in caller ID and that same feature has finally come to the US as well.
If you use SkypeOut and want to enable this feature, sign into the Skype website and select Caller ID from the Account menu. From there you can select to show your SkypeIn or even your cell phone number so then when you call someone they won’t ignore you…or least they’ll know who they are ignoring.
