iPhone, N95 finally coming to Canada?
Believe it or not, the Apple iPhone and Nokia N95 smartphones still aren’t officially available in Canada but that may finally be changing.
The Toronto Star says that the country’s only major GSM carrier, Rogers, is getting ready to launch the iPhone sometime between May and June of this year as part of the companies upcoming campaign to promote touchscreen phones such as the LG V and HTC Touch.
One of the reasons for the delay in getting the iPhone into Canada is an onoing trademark conflict with Ontario-based service provider Comwave which offers a Voice-over-IP service called iPhone.
Meanwhile, the Nokia N95 may be showing up on Rogers by May 2nd and have all the features of the North American model including GPS, Wi-Fi and 3G data.
The price of the N95 will likely be $699 without a contract; no mention of possible Apple iPhone pricing.
