10-inch Asus Eee PC coming this year, Atom based models in June
Asus CEO Jerry Shen has confirmed a couple of juicy new bits of info about his company’s Eee PC line:
- A model with a 10-inch screen is expected later this year
- An Intel Atom-based model will launch at the Computex show
Shen says that “the feedback we’ve received from users has been great. Many have asked us for bigger screens and better usability. That’s what made us start developing the Eee PC 900.”
That’s also, I’m sure, why the 10-inch model is being developed as well.
Asus says that anything with a 12-inch screen or larger is a “classic notebook PC” and not an Eee PC and that a 10-inch screen is “the biggest screen an Eee PC will ever get.”
No other info about specs or pricing for the 10-inch or Atom-based models but look for that info in the coming months.
