Microsoft completes its acquisition of Danger, creates new Premium Mobile Experiences division
Microsoft has just finished its $500 million buyout of Danger, makers of the Sidekick, and has created a new division to hold them.
The new division, called Premium Mobile Experiences, will be under the same division responsible for the Xbox and Zune.
Roz Ho, head of the new division and former head of the Mac business unit at Microsoft, says that the goal of the new division is to make people “smile every time they look at their phone.”
I would assume that means major changes to Windows Mobile’s interface and a Zune-branded phone but time will tell…
