ATA Airlines files for bankruptcy
Just days after Aloha Airlines announced that it was shutting down, word comes out that ATA Airlines has canceled all flights and filed for bankruptcy.
Once the 10th largest carrier in the US, ATA has entered bankruptcy protection for the second time in just over three years yesterday, citing the loss of crucial military charter business.
Nearly all of ATA’s nearly 2,200 employees are being told today that they have lost their jobs.
