Samsung Instinct coming to Sprint in June, customers hopefully to follow
Sprint is in a bit of a tough spot financially and could use a big product to help bring customers back and they’re betting a lot on the new Samsung Instinct to do it.
How much are the betting? About $100 million, making it their biggest marketing push ever.
The Instinct is a touchscreen phone with features that include:
- CDMA EV-DO Rev A (800MHz/1900MHz)
- 3.1-inch haptic touch screen that will use vibrations to attempt to replicate the feel of a physical button press
- 2-megapixel camera
- 2GB MicroSD memory card (upgradeable to 8GB)
- Bluetooth 2.0
The Instinct will also come with two batteries so you can swap one with the other when the first one runs low (assuming you’ve got them both charged, of course).
Look for it to be released in June. For more info check out this new site.
No pricing yet but Sprint has said that the Instinct will need a special $70/month version of their Simply Everything plan.
