Intel announces 2go PC, small, low-cost notebook computer
Intel today officially announced the 2go PC, a small, inexpensive notebook computer to be manufactured by CTL.
Before now this notebook was the subject of several rumors and was often called the “Netbook”.
The 2go PC will be available within two months and its features will include:
- Intel Celeron M CPU
- Intel 915GMS chipset
- 512MB of RAM (upgradable to 1GB)
- 40GB hard drive
- 9-inch screen with 800 x 480 resolution
- 802.11b/g wireless
- SD/MMC reader
- Built-in VGA webcam
- Roughly 3-hour battery life
The 2go PC will support either Windows XP or Linux and will sell for around $400.
